TERMS AND CONDITIONS

RATES AND PAYMENTS

BASE RATES:

- Deluxe King Cabin: $399 per night

- Luxury King Cabin: $399 per night

- Bali Cabin: $555 per night (2 guests) | $705 (3 guests) | $855 (4 guests)

MINIMUM STAY:

- Standard: 2 nights minimum required for all reservations

- One-night stay: $650 per night (must call to book: 787-539-4848)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Prices are in US dollars and subject to availability at time of reservation

- Rates may change without notice and may have restrictions based on arrival date and length of stay

- Taxes and gratuities are not included unless otherwise noted

- Certain blackout dates may apply

- Offers cannot be combined with other promotions

- Rates and promotions do not apply to groups

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:

- Full payment is required BEFORE arrival for all reservations

- Two days prior to check-in, you will receive a secure payment link to settle the full balance

- If payment is not received, credit card details will be required upon arrival

- At check-out, you will receive a final bill for any additional charges (food, drinks, services)

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS:

- Credit card (via secure link)

- Venmo

- PayPal

- ATH Móvil

- Cash (USD)

⚠️ IMPORTANT: You may NOT leave the property without completing your final payment. We kindly ask our valued guests to settle their check-out bill before departure.

BANK PROCESSING FEE:

A 3% bank processing fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand that plans change. Please review our cancellation terms carefully:

FULL REFUND (minus 3% processing fee):

- Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking

- AND reservation is at least 20 days away from arrival date

50% REFUND (minus 3% processing fee):

- Cancellations made at least 15 days before arrival date

NO REFUND:

- Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival date

CREDIT EXCEPTIONS:

In exceptional cases, we may authorize a credit for cancellations made within 7 days prior to arrival:

- Credit valid for 3 months from original reservation date

- After 3 months, credit expires

- Subject of management approval

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on a small business like ours. Our policy is not intended to penalize but to minimize losses caused by the inability to rebook your reservation in such a short time. We kindly ask that you respect these terms and avoid requesting exceptions beyond what is outlined here.

BOOKING POLICIES

ADULTS ONLY PROPERTY

Mont Carpe Diem is an adult-only (18+) boutique retreat designed for peaceful relaxation.

CHILDREN POLICY:

- Children under 12 years old are NOT permitted under any circumstances, with the following exception:

- Exception: If all three cabins are rented by the same group/family, children may be allowed with prior written authorization

- Teenagers (12-17 years): Permitted with adult supervision in all cabins

- ⚠️ CRITICAL: Arriving with unauthorized children under 12 will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation with NO refund

OCCUPANCY LIMITS:

- Deluxe King Cabin: Maximum 2 adults

- Luxury King Cabin: Maximum 2 adults

- Bali Cabin: 2-4 adults (additional guest fee of $150/person/night applies)

PETS POLICY:

We accept pets up to 30 lbs. with an additional nightly $100 fee per pet/night. Our resident pets experience stress with the presence of other animals. While we allow pets, we kindly ask you to consider leaving your pet in someone else's care if possible. The pet fee is non-negotiable.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT:

- Check-in: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM on arrival day

- Check-out: Before 11:00 AM on departure day

- Late arrivals after 11:30 PM require prior arrangement

- Arrivals after 11:30 PM without prior notice will be considered a No Show with NO refund

NO VISITORS OR EVENTS:

Inviting outside guests, hosting parties, group meals, or events is strictly prohibited without prior written approval from management. Violations will result in immediate cancellation without refund and additional penalties.

DAMAGE & LIABILITY:

Guests are responsible for any damage to the cabin or property during their stay. Additional charges will apply for damages.

PROPERTY RULES

QUIET HOURS: 10:00 PM onwards

Please respect other guests by keeping noise levels low after 10 PM.

SMOKING POLICY: Outdoor areas only

Smoking is permitted only in open, outdoor areas. No smoking inside cabins or enclosed spaces.

POOL HOURS: Flexible

Enjoy our pool at your convenience. Please be considerate of other guests.

BREAKFAST SERVICE: Before 10:00 AM

Continental breakfast is served daily before 10:00 AM. Please plan accordingly.

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, we kindly ask you to consider the following:

FOOD & BEVERAGES:

- Cabins are not designed for cooking

- Light snacks are welcome, but please avoid bringing food that may attract unwanted insects

- We provide all necessary dining services to ensure a stress-free vacation experience

COMMON AREAS:

- Portable coolers are not allowed in the main house, pool, or other common areas

- You may enjoy your drinks in your cabin

- In shared spaces, we kindly ask you to consider that we are a small business and have beverage options available for your enjoyment

BALI CABIN - SPECIAL POLICIES & GUIDELINES

The Bali Cabin offers a unique off-grid experience. Please read these important guidelines:

OFF-GRID SOLAR POWER

The Bali Cabin operates on 100% solar energy—a sustainable, eco-friendly experience.

ENERGY USAGE REQUIREMENTS:

- Air conditioning must be set no lower than 70°F at all times

- During cloudy weather or low battery conditions, you may be asked to turn off A/C at night

- Cool mountain temperatures (60s-70s°F) and ceiling fans provide natural comfort

- Nighttime in the rainforest is naturally cool with no mosquitoes

- Excessive energy use may drain batteries and affect your comfort

- Guests who fail to follow energy guidelines may be charged for generator use or system damage

WHY THIS MATTERS:

Solar systems depend on sunlight. Cloudy days reduce charging capacity. Responsible energy use ensures your comfort throughout your stay.

OUTDOOR BATHROOM SETUP:

- Main bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) is located in a private forest clearing a few meters from the cabin

- Hot water available

- Toilet and sink are fully covered for comfort and privacy

- Portable toilet available INSIDE cabin for nighttime convenience

- Requires short outdoor walk (umbrellas provided for rainy weather)

- Completely private—no one can see you

CABIN ACCESS:

- Bedroom is located upstairs and accessed via steep stairs

- Not recommended for guests with mobility issues

OCCUPANCY & PRICING:

- Base rate ($555/night): 2 adults

- 3 guests: $705/night (+$150 per additional guest)

- 4 guests: $855/night (+$150 per additional guest)

- Maximum occupancy: 4 adults

- Minimum age always accompanied by an adult: 12 years old (unless all three cabins rented by same group with prior approval in which case all child’s ages are accepted)

WILDLIFE & NATURE IMMERSION:

You are staying in an authentic rainforest. You may encounter:

- Coquí frogs (singing at night, iconic Puerto Rican sound!)

- Small lizards (harmless, eat insects)

- Forest insects (typical of tropical environments)

- NO dangerous wildlife, Puerto Rico has no venomous snakes, large predators, or dangerous animals

This is a feature, not a bug, you're experiencing REAL nature!

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:

❌ Guests uncomfortable with outdoor bathroom as the main facility

❌ Those requiring 24/7 air conditioning below 70°F

❌ Guests afraid of harmless forest creatures

❌ Anyone unwilling to embrace off-grid sustainable living

❌ Guests with mobility issues (steep stairs)

RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT:

This cabin is designed for eco-conscious travelers who appreciate sustainable living and authentic nature experiences. If you prefer conventional hotel amenities with unlimited power, this cabin is not the right fit.

HELPFUL TIPS FOR ALL GUESTS

- Bring a light jacket for cool mountain nights

- Wear proper footwear for unpaved forest paths

- Use the walking sticks provided, especially in wet weather

- A water hose is available next to your cabin for rinsing muddy shoes or clothes
